COURSE DESCRIPTION
There is much responsibility related to developing and building commercial real estate investment properties. This course will explore all aspects of building plans, physical building materials, and the team needed to carry out the project from beginning to end. Other factors such as building codes, zoning and permit issues are discussed along with ways to overcome obstacles and follow regulations to prevent unforeseen roadblocks before they threaten to halt a development. Unexpected problems can be both expensive and frustrating to everyone involved with the project.

Specific features such as building plans that accommodate the handicapped and environmental standards are discussed in detail. Managing the property after its completion, managing tax issues, and keeping the property viable are also explored in detail.

Listing, leasing and selling the completed developments is crucial for the commercial real estate licensee to understand. This course contains a step-by-step process for listing and selling commercial property and specialized ways to finance and maximize the investment returns.
