(CE) Requirements

Hours Required
24 hours, biennially
Compliance Date
First day of the month following the license issuance
date, biennially.
Approved Course Delivery Methods
• Independent
self-study online or written courses (passing grade of 70% required
on final exam)
• Classroom
• Interactive Online
• Seminar
Exam Requirements
Self-study exams do not require a monitor.
Course Subject Requirements
Agents
must take 3 hours in insurance law or ethics.
Carryover Credits
Excess CE credit hours may not be carried over to
the next reporting period.
Course Repetition
Course repetition is not allowed.
Exemptions
• Limited
lines producers.
• Licensees who have applied for and been granted inactive status
by the insurance director.
• Licensees on extended active military duty are exempt for the period
of duty.
Credit Reporting
CAPE will
report credits to the Idaho Department of Insurance via paper
within 60 days of course completion. A course
completion certificate is provided for the agent’s records.
