NEW JERSEY Continuing Education (CE) Requirements 48 credit hours every four years Compliance Date 90 days prior to the license renewal date. The renewal date is based on the license issuance date every four years. Jan-March: 1/31, April-June: 4/30, July-Sept: 7/31, Oct-Dec: 10/31 Approved Course Delivery Methods • Independent
self-study online or written courses (passing grade of 70% required
on final exam) Exam Requirements A disinterested 3rd party (i.e. someone who has no business or family relationship with the student) must monitor the self-study final exam. Course Subject Requirements • 24
hours must be in topics related to the line(s) of authority
for which the
producer is licensed Carryover Credits Excess hours may not be carried over. Course Repetition Courses may not be taken for credit more than once in a four-year period. Exemptions No resident producers can be exempted from meeting the continuing education requirement. Credit Reporting CAPE will report credits to Promissor within 30 days of course completion. A course completion certificate is provided for the agent’s record.
