Pennsylvania state requires that attorneys complete 12 hours per year. At least one of the hours must be ethics. Excess ethics credits are automatically converted to substantive credits up to the annual requirement. Excess ethics above 12 are carried forward as ethics credits. Up to four (4) credits per year may be completed online. There are three compliance groups (1, 2, 3) with CLE deadlines at the end of April, August, and December, respectively. Pennsylvania state allows up to two times the annual requirement (2 x 12=24) to be accumulated and carried forward into future compliance periods. |
